Our employer-led Local Skills Improvement Plan identified five priority sectors where businesses, educators, training partners and key stakeholders are working to close skills gaps.

Careers Impact internal leadership reviews
The internal leadership review is an integral component of the Careers Impact System, a step-by-step and integrated approach to improving and assuring the quality of sustained and strategic careers leadership in your school, special school or college.

Addressing youth unemployment issues
In July 2025, we held a Youth Employment Summit to discuss approaches to addressing youth unemployment issues at a sub-regional level across our nine boroughs (watch the video below to find out more). Local London will publish an action plan in 2025 based on findings from the day and wider research.
