About our team

What we do to support Careers Education

We partner with employers, mainstream and special schools, colleges, and alternative education providers e.g. pupil referral units (PRUS) to enhance careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) with the ultimate goal of driving  young peoples’ aspirations and improving their skills and knowledge, so students transition successfully into learning and/or the world of work.

We work with and are a link between education establishments and employers to ensure young people receive high quality, sustainable careers education in their local area by:

  • Providing strategic support and guidance to schools, colleges, and alternative provision settings to embed the Gatsby Benchmarks and meet statutory careers guidance requirements.
  • Facilitating employer engagement through meaningful encounters, workplace experiences, and curriculum-linked activities that reflect local labour market needs.
  • Connecting education with the world of work by matching education establishments with trained ‘Enterprise Advisers’ - business professionals who volunteer to support the development of careers education.
  • Championing inclusion and equity, ensuring that all young people - regardless of background or setting - have access to high-quality careers education and opportunities.
  • Using data and insight to drive continuous improvement, track progress against the Gatsby Benchmarks, and identify areas for targeted support.
  • Contributing to a joined-up local skills system by working alongside further education colleges, training providers, local authorities, and business networks to ensure young people are equipped with the skills employers need now and in the future.
  • Promoting priority sectors and pathways identified in Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs) - such as green skills, digital, health and social care, and construction - through targeted employer encounters, curriculum resources, and events.
  • Other support - offering CPD, resources, and training for employers, careers leaders, teachers, parents, and senior leaders.
