Welcome to Local London Careers Hub East.
Local London’s Careers Hub partners collaboratively with employers, mainstream and special schools, colleges, and alternative education providers e.g. pupil referral units (PRUS) to enhance careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) with the ultimate goal of driving young peoples’ aspirations and improving their skills and knowledge, so students transition successfully into learning and/or the world of work.
Our team works with over 220 schools and colleges across Barking and Dagenham, Bromley, Bexley, Enfield, Greenwich, Havering, Newham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.
We are keen to work with all schools in our nine boroughs, and a diverse range of businesses from all sectors.

What is Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)?
CEIAG prepares young people for their future! It supports them to acquire the self-development and career management skills they need to achieve positive employment destinations. Schools will teach, through the curriculum, and support a young person’s self-development.
However, employers can influence students significantly when they are trying to understand the world of work. CEIAG must include a wide range of meaningful encounters with employers e.g. workshops, team building activities, Insights to work and much more.
Critically, young people will learn from employers about jobs, the skills required and the pathways that can take them into a job role or career they will enjoy.
